AIIMS are using the PIGA CT with PET-CT instead of CT alone. Till now more than 15 Biopsy / FNAC have been done using PIGA CT attached with PET-CT. In department PET/CT images are used for planning of procedure. This helps in selecting and targeting metabolic active tissue precisely. The yield rate of PET/CT procedures, under PIGA CT guidance are high. The simple user interface and precise accuracy gives confidence gives confidence to perform interventional procedures even in small lesions.

We have been using PIGA in our department to perform CT guided interventions. |
It is an excellent equipment for performing CT guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures like Biopsies, FNAC, Ablations and Pain Management procedures. It helps perform such procedures on early stage small and difficult lesions in lung, abdomen and bone. |
We also find it easy to train our PG’s and residents with this equipment since this makes the procedures very safe and simple. |
PIGA CT is useful to those patients who need early stage diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. |

| Perfint Robotic biopsy arm is an excellent tool for performing biopsy under CT guided, our institution has bought it recently and used it in the lung biopsy and mainly the difficult areas and lesions which are near the great vessels and near to hilum. I found that this is the tool I was searching for accurate biopsy and to avoid a report from my pathology colleague – tissue insufficient or no abnormalities found or material is inadequate. |
| This is the tool which is required in every CT room in the future. I hope that more of innovations may be done in this robotic arm. |

We have been using the PIGA CT attachment for more than one year for guiding the placement of needle into target lesion / location under CT guidance. The device provides accurate guidance for all locations – superficial or deep, whether the needle path is horizontal or vertical and even when there is a cranio-caudal tilt. It is fairly quick and saves time particularly in deep seated locations when there is cranio-caudal tilt obviating the need of multiple check-scans and thus cutting radiation dosage. |
The resident and beginners will find a great help in the instrument, which will boost their confidence level. The seasoned ones will find a good saving in time if they are doing good number of CT guided procedures. |

Till now more than 20 Biopsies / FNAC’s have been performed with PIGA CT. CT images are being used for planning intricate procedures for thorax, lung and abdomen lesions. Cranio caudal & Orbital angulations are automatically selected as per given target & entry. |
Yield rate of CT interventional procedures under PIGA CT guidance are comparatively higher. |
| User interface is simple & effective. |
| Accuracy and speed gives confidence in performing interventional procedures even in small lesions. |

PIGA CT guidance system is an interesting, useful and to be an indispensable medical equipment in the near future. Blind biopsies have always been an apprehensive procedure especially when lesions are situated near vital structures like great vessels and mediastinum. The PIGA CT guidance system has given us confidence and comfort in approaching any lesion with great accuracy and making the procedure a very easy one with less complication rates and less nos. of needle passes. My post-graduate students have also felt this to be very useful in making biopsies. I feel all should go for this guidance system, which make CT guided biopsies a safe and successful procedure. |

| We are effectively using PIGA CT for performing all CT guided interventions like FNAC, Biopsy in our centre. This device is extremely accurate in placing the needle in deep seated lesions, with both orbital and cranial/caudal angulations. This device helps us to finish the procedures quickly with lesser radiation exposure. |

We have already done large number of biopsies under the guidance of new attachment. I found PIGA to be extremely accurate in targeting the lesion, easy to handle, flexible and fairly quick. We have done biopsies from deep-seated lesions in hila, peripancreatic area etc., with high confidence level and hundred percent yield. |

PIGA CT was very useful for fiducial marker procedure because It helps in reducing the number of entry points and avoiding major structures on the way. It helps in anesthetizing the track with each entry. Accurate cranio-caudal angulation is the biggest advantage |

PIGA CT is used in Vijaya Diagnostics for image guided biopsy procedures. I feel that centers that do not do interventions today can start doing interventions with PIGA guidance. Probably the time saved by using PIGA can be well used by the centre for performing more diagnostic procedures. I feel that the number of cases at our centre has doubled after installing PIGA CT. To some extent PIGA CT is a good marketing tool, as now I would prefer to refer a procedure to a scan centre with PIGA CT than without |

I have been using PIGA Ct since its invention. I find the device extremely user friendly and in placing needles within body under CT guidance, which warrants angular insertion both in X and Z axis. |

We have been using PIGA CT from Perfint in our department for performing CT guide procedure like FNA/Biopsy. PIGA is a very useful device for doing CT guided procedures and many of our PG students have also used the device for CT guided procedures. System performance and the support from Perfint has been good. Our article on advantages of PIGA guided procedures over the conventional manual way of doing procedure has been approved for poster display at AOCR,2008. |
